CheckWebs is built to keep website checks simple, fast, and privacy-conscious. This page explains what we process and why.
**Website Inputs:** We process website URLs and domain names submitted through our tools to execute DNS lookups, HTTP requests, and technical audits.
**Server Logs:** Like most websites, we collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser types, and timestamps to prevent abuse, mitigate DDoS attacks, and ensure service reliability.
We use **Google Analytics 4 (GA4)** to understand how users interact with our platform. GA4 may set cookies to track aggregated usage data (e.g., page views, session duration). We have configured GA4 to anonymize IP addresses where possible. You can opt-out of Google Analytics by using the official browser add-on. We also use browser LocalStorage strictly for saving your UI preferences (like dark mode).
We strictly operate without user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information. Client-side utilities (like the Password Generator or JSON Formatter) run entirely in your web browser utilizing Web Crypto APIs—no data is ever transmitted to our servers.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any submitted data. Audit reports generated on CheckWebs may be temporarily cached to improve global response times and reduce duplicate server strain. Server logs containing IP addresses are automatically purged on a rolling 30-day basis.
